The Boys pode não terminar do jeito que os fãs esperam.
A última temporada da sátira de super-heróis da Prime Video estreia em 8 de abril, com o final da série marcado para 20 de maio. A estrela Erin Moriarty está alertando os fãs para se prepararem para um final inesperado – e emocional.
“Oh, acabei de arrepiar,” ela disse recentemente ao Collider. “Acho que vai ser uma mistura. Você pensaria que, com The Boys, seria apenas tipo, ‘Caramba’, mas acho que vai ser emocional.”

Moriarty, que interpreta Starlight, sugeriu que a morte de um personagem importante (ou mais de um) pode estar no horizonte.
“[The Boys creator Eric] Kripke has warned that no one is safe this season, right? That’s not a secret. And I think as a result, it’s going to be far more emotional than anyone anticipates,” she said. “There’s going to be a lot of shock, there’s going to be a lot of laughter, there’s humor. There’s everything that you would imagine, but the emotional gravity of it kind of caught me by surprise.”
“It’s a show that makes you laugh and makes you gasp, but has it made people sob as much as it will in the final season? In my opinion, it’s going to be really emotional,” she continued.
The Boys Season 5 will also reflect the current world, Kripke has said. While the episodes were written prior to the 2024 presidential election, the storylines ended up eerily reminiscent of recent political events in the U.S., a twist he called “f*cking troubling.”
“I’m totally bummed out to say we wrote it before the election. It sounds super naive now, but I swear the plan was, ‘Let’s write a 1984 version of what creeping authoritarianism looks like in America,’ and maybe everyone will be like, ‘Whew, we really dodged a bullet.’ But instead, we got hit with the bullet,” he told TV Guide.
“There’s a line — I won’t give it away — but there’s a line in episode 7 that Homelander says that was the craziest line we could think of, and it’s already happened,” he added.

The Boys estreia em 8 de abril no Prime Video. Novos episódios são lançados semanalmente até 20 de maio.
